Lucille Dygert

Lucille Grahg Allen Dygert, one of the oldest residents in Fromberg, MT passed away at the age of 88 on Tuesday evening, July 27, 2010 at St. Johns Lutheran Home in Billings of natural causes. Born May 16, 1922 in Muncie, IN, Lucille was the fifth child of Shirley & Ruth (Elliott) Grahg. At age 12, Lucille traveled alone by train to Billings to live with her grandmother Florence Grahg. She attended Billings Senior High School.Lucille moved with her family to Fromberg in 1950 and has resided there since. She reared nine children and six foster children off and on as they needed family care. Lucille enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader, she taught the Girl and Boy Scouts how to square dance. Lucille enjoyed square dancing most her adult life; she believed it kept her young and active. Also on her to do list would be working with her flowers and roses.Surviving are her daughters: Belle Duran of Fairbanks, AK, Mary Ellen Baukol of Great Falls, MT, Nina (Wally) Comstock-Simmons of Wald Port, OR; sons: Wayne (Shirley) Stewart of Fromberg, D.J. Allen, Sherman Allen and George Allen all of Billings, Don Allen of Fromberg; twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great-grandchildren. Lucille was preceded in death by her son Kenneth Stewart.Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday at the Dahl Funeral Chapel in Billings. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 31 at the American Legion Hall in Fromberg. Interment will be in Rockvale Cemetery.
