Kristi Erickson

Our spunky and passionate Kristi Ann Erickson joined her beloved Grandpa Bob in heaven on October 18, 2019. She passed away unexpectedly, due to medical complications, with her dog Cosmo and cat Eclipse by her side. This world changed for the better when Kristi was born on September 28, 1983 in Austin, Minnesota to Mark and Betty Erickson. She was the third of five girls. Kristi only stood 5 foot in stature her personality was beyond measure. She loved entertaining as a child especially to Michael Jackson's “Bad”, silver glove included. There are countless hours of family videos where she is singing, dancing and showing off her effortless splits. In high school, her shop class sparked her interest and she took pride in being a self-taught mechanic. Kristi faced difficult challenges in her life that she worked very hard to overcome. Her compassion for the underdog and helpless led to her life's calling of taking care of the elderly as a CNA. She had endless special gifts that allowed her to connect with an open-heart to those in need. She was fulfilled by her most recent job at Edgewood Vista memory care facility. In life, she greeted everyone with “Hello Beautiful” or “Hello Handsome” and her quick witted, sarcastic humor and belly laugh brightened your day. Kristi's smile was contagious and you could measure enjoyment by the size of her smile. Kristi was an animal lover and was lucky to find her companions in Cosmo, her dog, and Eclipse, her cat. They both adored her. She spent many hours tossing the ball and walking Norms Island with Cosmo. Eclipse would always come running when Kristi called out “Baby Girl!” She loved her niece, Adalynn, and nephews, Clifford, Jett, and Carter. Although they are young, she made an impression on them and Tuesday night dinners will never be the same. Kristi lived large from her fierce love, coffee with extra, extra shots and her current shade of vibrant red hair. Kristi is survived by her parents, Mark and Betty Erickson, of Billings; sisters Katie (Don) Olson of Belgrade, Karrie (Todd) Owen, Kayla Erickson, KaCee Erickson all of Billings; her niece and nephews, Adalynn and Carter Owen, and Clifford and Jett Olson; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ralph and Donna Gerber, and Robert and Mary Jane Erickson. We are bonded as Sisters and we will always be the 5 K's. While you are gone, you will never be forgotten. We will love you always and you will always have a place in our hearts. For now, may you rest in peace, comforted by God's unconditional love as you watch over us from above. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on October 24, 2019 at American Lutheran Church, 5 Lewis Avenue, in Billings. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service, with burial to follow reception at Mountview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Special Olympics.
