Charles Facemire

Dr. Charles Franklin Facemire, was born December 20, 1937, in Madison, Indiana to Lester and Elizabeth Facemire. A beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather and Great-great-grandfather, passed away at his home in Roundup, Montana on November 27, 2013. Dr. Facemire served 4 years in the Navy before marrying Elizabeth Arlene Curtis in Madison, Indiana on September 1, 1961. During his years of working for the government Dr. Facemire took time out to complete his Bachelors Degree at the University of New Mexico, Las Cruses, New Mexico, and his Masters Degree at the University of Illinois in Urbana, Illinois and his Doctoral Degree at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He retired from working with the US Government in 1995. He then taught Microbiology, Anatomy, Chemistry and Math at Ivy Tech in Indiana and the Western New Mexico University Extension in Deming, New Mexico. His lifelong passion has been genealogy; to date he has collected and verified over 23,000 names in his ancestral lines. As a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dr. Facemire served in many positions, but his favorite position was that of being able to work for over 15 years in the LDS Temples in Atlanta, Georgia, Louisville, Kentucky, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Billings, Montana. Dr. Facemire and his wife Elizabeth are the parents of 7 children, Tony (Connie) Facemire of Scottsdale, Arizona, Lea Yoder of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Chris (Kathy) Facemire of Greenville, Ohio, Shelly (Jay) Adamson of Roundup, Montana, Shauna Zorn of Roundup, Montana, Mike (Teena) Facemire of Tucson, Arizona, and Mark (Kate) Facemire of Gilbert, Arizona. He was proud to have 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. with Funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 30 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1640 Broadmoor Dr, Billings, Montana. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre with Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 4 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1113 Michigan Rd, Madison, Indiana. A Military graveside service will be held immediately following the Funeral Service at Slawson Cemetery in Bennington, Indiana.
