Barbara Feterl

Barbara Ellen Feterl, 60 died in the loving presence of her sister on Wednesday, April 8 at Riverstone Hospice House, Billings, MT, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born November 9, 1954 in Cambridge MN to Lucille and Lando Kutzke. She attended Cambridge-Isanti High School, The College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph MN, and Brown Technical Institute (now Brown College) in Minneapolis MN. She enjoyed being an elementary school teacher, community education instructor and a computer programmer. Barb was a very creative person who liked to quilt, knit, weave, design and write poetry. She was proud of an award winning quilt she made for a Minnesota Fabrics competition in 1993. She loved to do handwork of any type. She also enjoyed playing the piano and organ, cooking, reading and journaling. Barb was active as a church organist at Christ the King Catholic Church in Cambridge, MN and St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Iroquois SD. She loved cats and was a stamp collector. Her family, including her aunt, Edna Brick, was very important to her. Barbara married David Feterl on August 16, 1986. They lived in Eagan MN and Iroquois South Dakota. They were married for 25 years before Dave's sudden death in January 2012. Barb is survived by her parents, Lando and Lucille Kutzke of St. Cloud, MN, her siblings Carol (Larry) Gregersen of Cortez CO, Connie (Steve) Dilts of Billings MT, Daniel (Kim) Kutzke of Rochester, MN and Michael (Jennifer) Kutzke of Andover, MN, and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Feterl. Vigil Service will be at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday April 14 at St. Pius Catholic Church, Billings MT. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 9, 11:00 a.m., at Christ the King Catholic Church in Cambridge MN. Memorial contributions can be made to Riverstone Health Hospice or Angela's Piazza, both in Billings MT.
