Robert Fisher

Bob Fisher passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014 at his home after a long illness. Robert E. (Bob) Fisher was born in Billings, Montana on December 3, 1926 to Guy and Mary Fisher. He was the youngest of 14 children. After the loss of his mother, he was raised by his sister Evelyn (Joe) Fulk. At the age of 18, Bob joined the military and served in World War II. During his time in the service he acquired a pet monkey while stationed in Japan. Both as a youngster and an adult, Bob enjoyed reading extensively, listening to classic country or rock 'n' roll music, and exercising. Nothing made him happier than a good cup of coffee at any time of the day. He was a self-taught cook who enjoyed grocery shopping and creating new meals in the kitchen. The "Fisher Clan" would agree their very favorite meal was his "Famous Steak Rice." Bob was no stranger to a hard day's work. He looked good dressed up in a business suit or casual western wear (complete with his cowboy hat, of course). He felt comfortable working in both worlds. Bob was married to Corinne (McCarvill) for over 63 years. Together they have 3 children; Vance (Julie) Fisher; Debra (Rich) Rose both from Worden, MT; Valerie (Lyle) Teichert from Billings, MT. Bob also has a daughter; Vicki Quintrell of Bridger, MT. Family was always important to Bob and he loved them dearly. He leaves behind 4 grandsons, 2 granddaughters and 2 great-grandsons. Corinne would like to extend a sincere thank-you to all of Bob's personal caregivers, including North West Home Care and Rocky Mountain Hospice, for assisting with Bob's desire to remain in the comfort of his own home. At Bob's request, there will be no service held. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to your favorite charity.
