Wilma Vale Fisher died May 5, 2014 at the Grand Park Assisted Living. Wilma was born May 17, 1923 to Charles & Leone (Knapp) Sherod at their home outside of Lodge Grass, MT. She spent most of her childhood in Lodge Grass. She married Richard “Bud” Fisher on September 12, 1939 and they had two children, Richard and Peggy. They made their home many places in Alaska, Wyoming, and Montana but settled in Meeteetse, WY in 1954. Then in 1972, she and Richard began ranching on Fly Creek until they downsized and settled in Worden, MT for the remainder of their lives. Wilma was a lover of animals but especially loved her dog Freckles and her many cats. She loved rock and old bottle hunting, fishing with her friend Lois, and shopping with her daughter and granddaughters. Wilma is preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, who passed away in May 2013, her parents, her son, Richard Charles Fisher, her son-in-law, Lyle Ellison, a brother Ralph Sherod and a sister, Carol Clark. She is survived by her daughter Peggy Ellison, her sisters Betty Hamby and Bobbie (Paul) Gilbert, eight grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and Yellow Kitty, whom she loved very much. A memorial is being planned for June 7, 2014. Arrangements are in the care of Dahl Funeral Chapel and memories may be shared with the family at www.dahlfuneralchapel.com
