John Fosjord

John “Fozzy” Fosjord, 50, passed away November 11, 2013 at his home in Huntley following a courageous battle with cancer, with his family by his side. He was born April 9, 1963 in Billings, the son of Dale and Audrey (Thatcher) Fosjord. He enlisted in the Army Reserve in 1980 and later in the Army National Guard of Montana until 1986. John married Vickie Vale on June 22, 2009. John was a trucker for over 26 years with over one million miles logged. He enjoyed the outdoors riding his beloved motorcycle, camping, fishing, hunting and shooting. He liked working on his truck and engines and spending time with his family and grandchildren. John was a member of the Huntley United Methodist Church and a volunteer with the Worden Fire Department. John is survived by his wife Vickie (Vale) Fosjord; mother Audrey Thatcher; father Dale (Sheila) Fosjord; grandfather Frank Thatcher; children Tom (Jamie) Hostetler, Jacob (Kristine) Nystrom, Jennifer (Erik) Ludlow, Lucas (Glynis) Nystrom, Lindsey Nystrom; 11 grandchildren; sister Debbie Fosjord; brothers Steven and Dave Fosjord; sisters-in-law Brenda (Greg) Mass, Val (Clifford) Schultz; family friend Barbara Griffin; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by grandparents Erma Thatcher, Harold and Martha Fosjord; nephew Daniel. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with prayer service 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13 at Dahl Chapel.The family would like to express a special thank you to Rocky Mountain Hospice for their wonderful help.
