Gary Gehring

Gary Gehring was born on June 21, 1948 and passed away on June 1, 2017. Gary came to Montana with the Bud Grice family in the early 1970's with whom he had a life-long friendship. He married Kathy Vermandel in 1972, who he met though his best friend Keith Vermandel. He worked on various ranches and was a local and Iong-haul truck driver working for the Corcorans, Steve Nelson, Warren Transport and Ostermiller Construction. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, panning for gold, shooting and floating Pryor Creek in a canoe. He was very talented with leather work. He lived the majority of his life on the Vermandel Ranch which he dearly loved. He is survived by his children and grandchildren: Cory Gehring (Sierra, C.J., and Camille); Christy Jaeger (Alden, Paisley, and Celia); Lee Gehring (Dahlia); and Aimee Tucker. His son-in-law, Blaine, was one of his favorite cowboy companions. His ashes will be spread on the Vermandel Ranch.
