Marsha passed away peacefully on October 20, 2019 at the Billings Clinic in Billings, MT. She was born in Billings on February 21, 1947 to Phillip and Audrey Crum. Marsha was the oldest of five children followed by Jim, Joe, Maureen (Crum) Grabast and Steve. She grew up in Billings, attended Little Flower and graduated from Billings Central. Later Marsha attended Eastern Montana College. Marsha married Ken Gerke on March 27, 1967 and they moved to Deer Lodge, MT. Marsha continued her education at the University of Montana in Missoula where she obtained her degree in Library Science. Marsha worked various teaching positions in the Deer Lodge area. Marsha, Ken and their family moved back to Billings where Marsha worked as a librarian at Billings Central. She was offered a better librarian position in Yuma, AZ so they moved there for three years. After leaving Yuma Ken and Marsha moved to Chesapeake, VA to be closer to their grandchildren. While in Chesapeake she worked as a librarian at Craddock Middle School for eighteen years. In 2014 Ken and Marsha moved back to Billings where she enjoyed her new home and retirement until her untimely passing. Marsha is survived by her husband, Kenneth; children, Jennifer and Scott Gerke; three grandchildren, Cole Gerke-Hamilton, Sandra Wilson and Lauren Kuntz; and great-grandson, Michael Wilson. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Dahl Funeral Chapel.
