Obituary
Anna 'Stasia' Gerrells was born August 23, 1928 on Bluewater Creek near Fromberg, Montana, daughter of Paul and Mary 'Ommie' Wennemar. She grew up on Bluewater attending and graduating from Fromberg Schools. On April 19,1947 she married Edward John Gerrells. They moved to Billings where Stasia worked as a telephone operator for many years. In 1962 Ed and Stasia moved to Bridger. She worked 19 years at the IGA store before purchasing 'Stasia's IGA' in 1979. Stasia was proud to be a member of the Bridger Senior Citizen Center where she worked and volunteered for many years. Her favorite pasttimes were knitting, traveling, following her grandchildren in their various sporting events, playing cards especially Bridge, visiting and spending time with all her cherished friends (new and life-long), shopping, shopping and more shopping! Stasia passed away on December 28, 2011 at the age of 83. She was met at the gates by her husband, Ed, and her granddaughters, Robbyn and Ralane Teesdale. Surviving Stasia are her children Dorothy 'Dot' Teesdale (Billings), John Gerrells (Thermopolis,WY), Tonya (David) Davison (Bridger, MT) and Stasi (Randy) Weimer (Roberts, MT). Also missing Granny are her grandchildren Raquel Powell, Ryanne Teesdale, Jodie Bender, Dawn Marie Jones, Kymberlee (Brian) Oliver, Jami Rebsom, Toni Davison, Andy (Megan) Davison, Chris (Johanna) Ostrum and Jace Weimer. Granny also spent many fun-filled hours with her great-grandchildren. Stasia's twin sister, Dorothy Ellen Strobel and older sister, Pauline Mary Carrick also survivor her, as do many nieces and nephews. Service: Private family services are planned at a later date. Memorials may be sent in Stasia's name to the Bridger Senior Citizen Center, Bridger, MT 59014 or the Beartooth Humane Alliance, PO Box 2333, Red Lodge, MT 59068.

To the Family of Stasia, I extend my deepest sympathies to each of you. My mother, Virginia McManis, lived at Highgate and knew Stasia. They played cards and chatted often and mom was so grateful to have Stasia as a friend. I am deeply saddened by Stasia's passing. Dona Hagen
