Robert Arnold

Robert Y. “Bob” Arnold, 90, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 at MorningStar Senior Living Community in Billings, Montana. He was born May 17, 1927 to Yale E. and Dolores R. Arnold in Skiatook, OK. Bob graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, OK and attended Tulsa University and the Illinois Institute of Technology. During WWII, he served in U.S. Army Company C, 7th Infantry, Regiment 3rd Division. He married Evelyn M. Ennen Nov. 23, 1950 in Belle Fourche, SD and raised two children. Bob had a long career in the oil production business. He worked for British American Oil Co. in Sterling, CO, Gulf Oil Co. in Riverton, WY and Chevron Oil Co. in Vernal, UT. Bob was an avid fisherman, hunter and snowmobiler and cherished his retirement years in Dubois, WY in the mountain home he built himself. Woodworking was his passion, he built all types of furniture for family and friends. Welding was another skill he possessed and he was known to invent many things, including money-saving oil production equipment for his employer. Bob is survived by his wife, Evelyn; son, Mark (Marcie) of Marietta, OH; daughter, Cheryl Potter of Billings, MT; grandson, Nick (Sarah) Arnold of Marietta, OH; granddaughter, Angie (Travis) Harris; and great-granddaughter, Sadie of Lowell, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, a brother and son, John E. Arnold. The family wishes to thank the wonderful caregivers and staff at MorningStar of Billings and Stillwater Hospice. Graveside memorial services in Dubois, WY will be held at a later date.
