Obituary

Anita Fern Haesemeyer, age 85, died fighting a painful lung infection on Wednesday afternoon September 26th, 2018 at the Montana Billings Clinic. Anita's husband Wayne and son Dan were holding her hands at her bedside when she went to be with Jesus. Born on May 12, 1933 to Homer and Rosa Belle Shaw in Eureka, Kansas; Anita was the youngest of seven siblings, Harrel, Willard, Bernice Conyers (Harvey) Genevieve Martinie (Sam) Mary Kearn (Bob) and Martha Francis (Henry). Anita grew up riding a horse to country schools and graduated from Eureka High School in 1951. She received her pipe organ performance degree from Wichita State University and carried out her passion of teaching music to elementary children for 20+ years in Tempe, Arizona. She married Wayne Haesemeyer from Sylvan Grove, Kansas and together they had three children, Karin Kim, Sheryl Lynn (Jon Freegard) and Dan Eric (Kim Haesemeyer), fulfilling her dream of being a mom. She loved Jesus as well as playing the piano and organ for church every Sunday throughout most of her life. She is very proud of her beloved grandchildren, John and Tyler Freegard and Paul, Wade and Kate Haesemeyer. Including her husband, children and grandchildren Anita is survived by her sister Martha Francis (Henry) and her many loving nephews and nieces. The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018 at 11:00am at Faith Chapel 517 Shiloh Rd, Billings, Montana 59106.

We lived next door to Anita & Wayne for nearly 40 years in Mesa , Az. Our children grew up w/ her children, They were the best neighbors any one could ask for. Anita was a great mentor, teacher & inspiration to our children & family as well as others on Cottonwood avenue. We missed them very much when age related issues necessitated their moving to Billings. Gary & Nadine Thorson Aaron & Heather
