Obituary
Manda Lee Haider passed away September 17, 2018 in Helena, MT. Lee was born January 20, 1927 in El Paso, TX to David and Elva Stevens. She spent the first 11 years of her life in Colonia Chuichupa, Chihuahua, Mexico before she and her family moved to Holden, UT. Lee graduated from Hinckley High School in 1945 and soon found a position at the US Army Depot in Ogden, UT where she met James Haider Sr. Lee and Jim married in 1947 and made their home in Spokane, WA where they had the first of their 7 children. In 1948, they moved to Billings, MT where they raised their family and remained until Jim's death in 1997. Lee moved to Helena, MT in 2003 where she spent the remaining years of her life living the quiet life with her son, Jim Jr. and his family. Lee was an active member of Little Flower Church and St. Bernard's Church before she left Billings. She made many dear friends during her time in Billings, through working on projects like Mayfair, and refinishing antiques. She also enjoyed many hours of quilting, hand-quilting each one with generations of skill and love. Lee is survived by her daughters: Janette (Bob) Tarr; Terri Haider; Karyn Haider; and Stefanie (Art) Pratt and her son James (Michelle) Haider Jr. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Margaret (Tom) Weber; Steve Folvag; Dan Schrup; Darin (Cara) Schrup; Michelle Tarr; Benjamin Tarr; Jackson Haider; Olivia Haider; Robyn Pratt; Tristan Pratt; and Connor Pratt, as well as her great-granddaughter: Nakomi Schrup, and her great-great-grandson: Dylan. She is also survived by five sisters and one brother. Preceding Lee in death were her husband of 50 years, James Haider Sr.; her daughters Katherine Folvag and Constance Michael; as well as her son-in-law Harold Folvag; three brothers and a sister. A service to celebrate Lee's life will be held at St. Pius X Church in Billings, MT at 10 am Saturday, September 22, 2018 with committal services immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beehive Homes of Helena House #9.

I have such fond memories of working at the drive in with Jim and Lee. We made the BEST onion rings!! I will treasure the table I have that Lee refinished. My prayers are with the entire family. You have lost a wonderful lady. She will welcomed in heaven by mom and dad.
