Obituary
Rush Jackson Hall, 76, of Billings was put into the Lord's hands in the early morning hours of September 12, 2019. Jack, as he was fondly called by his family and friends, was born on March 21, 1943 in Baker, MT to Rushmore and Eulita Hall. Jack was raised on the Hall ranch and went to school in Baker. He loved farming, taking care of the cattle and fishing in the ponds on the ranch. In December of 1964, he enlisted in the Army until he was honorably discharged in February of 1965. He worked for a short time in oil fields of North Dakota after getting out of the Army. Jack returned to the ranch to help his family. He would meet up with his friends at the Talk of the Town Cafe for coffee in Baker and this is where he met his future wife, Lori Otto. They were married in Baker in June of 1985. Their life together led to Helena for the next 20 years then to Billings in 2011. Jack was loved and will be missed dearly by his wife, family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Lori, of 34 years; sisters, Kay (DuWayne) of Gillette, WY and Winona of Green River, WY; sisters-in-law, Lori Hall of Laurel, MT and Kerri of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Howard (May Lynn) of Baker, MT; brother-in-law, Jeff (Chris) of Helena, MT; and numerous nieces, nephews and long-time close friends. Preceding Jack in death were his parents, Rushmore and Eulita; sister, Bonnie; brother, David; nephew, Ricky; and, brother-in-law Gene. Graveside services will be held October 15, 2019 at 10:00 am at the Yellowstone National Cemetery in Laurel, MT, reception to follow at a location to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Compassus Hospice, 2110 Overland Ave, Ste. 111, Billings, MT 59102.
