James Arthur

On Saturday, January 19, 2019 James Arthur passed away at the age of 78. He was born on February 3, 1940 to Robert and Fern Arthur in Cando, ND. When Jim was 4 years old the family moved to MT where he lived until he joined the U.S. Marine Corps. Following his military service Jim had various occupations but his love was in the oil fields where he worked in MT, ND, WY and CO as well as Indonesia and New Zealand. He is survived by his wife, Alice of 40 years; brother, Larry (Barbara); sisters, Ramona and Iona; and 16 nephews and 13 nieces. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Eldon, Lyle, Duane, Ernie, Clarence, Bill, Clinton and Gordon; and a niece, Darla. Viewing will be Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 10 am – 2 pm at Dahl Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Yellowstone National Cemetery in Laurel, MT.
