Patricia Harris

Patricia Elizabeth Zeis Harris, 90, passed away Tuesday July 2, 2019. Pat was born and raised in Fargo, ND and it was there that she received her education. She was president of the Art Club and participated in many other school activities. Pat moved to Billings, after her mother passed, where she worked at International Harvester. It was in Billings where she met Robert Harris and they were united in marriage on October 15, 1956. They raised 4 children in Billings with a short stint in Casper, WY. Pat was an accomplished award winning artist. She enjoyed knitting, china painting, oil painting and hitting garage sales with her niece Dawn and daughter. She found many treasures that she would tole paint and add her special touches. She also volunteered at St. Vincent Healthcare for many years and also knitted hats for newborns. Pat enjoyed many years painting at the Senior Center. She was also a member of the Ruffled Feathers knitting group that met at Barnes and Noble. Her artistic skills came in handy creating the chickadee logo for the group. Pat was a prolific knitter and made over 100 pair of colorful socks that were the envy of many. Pat is survived by her daughter, Peggy (Tim) Koch; son, Grant (Shelly) Harris; daughter-in-law, Iola Harris; grandsons, Benjamin and Jeremiah Harris and Alex and Calvin Koch; granddaughter, Kennedee Blankenship; and great-grandchildren, Avery and Jack Harris. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Harris; son, Gregory Harris; daughter, Cathlene Harris; parents, Joseph and Rose Zeis; sisters, Rita Savageau, Margaret Sampson and Jane Lofthouse; and brother, Joseph Zeis. Cremation has taken place and she will be placed with her husband in the Yellowstone National Cemetery at 1:00 pm on July 8, 2019.
