Alfretta Hart

Our loving mother and grandmother, Alfretta Hart, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 26, 2018 with her loving family by her side including her son, Dale, daughter, Sheryl, grandchildren Nicole, Justin, Mike and Hiliary and other family. Alfretta was born February 2, 1945 to Carol and Fred Whitewolf Sr. They felt blessed to have Alfretta as their beautiful daughter. She was also raised by her grandparents, Hugh and Mamie Walks Along. Alfretta was married to Raymond Hart Sr. for over 55 years. They had three children, Dale Hart, Sheryl Hart Whiteman (and grandchildren Nicole and Justin), and Raymond (Denise) Hart Jr. Also, her nephew, Adam (Lorrie) Wolf, was considered her son in our Cheyenne way. Alfretta loved all of her beautiful grandchildren, Hiliary (Ira NoRunner), Cassie, Michael (Brydget), and Zachary Hart and Cole, Cody, Nicole and Justin Blake Whiteman and her beautiful great- grandchildren, Daylon, Romeo, Matai, Kaleo and Miles NoRunner, and Bryceton Hart. Alfretta was welcomed into heaven by her husband, Raymond Hart Sr., her parents and grandparents, her sister, Deloris Wolf, grandchildren, Cassie, Cole, Cody, and other family and friends. Alfretta worked for 35 years at the Lame Deer School as a cook. She watched her children and grandchildren grow up. After retirement she enjoyed spending time with her family. Alfretta was honored with an Associate of Arts Degree by the Dullknife Memorial College. She was proud of this accomplishment and her family was proud of her too. N. Cheyenne was her first language and it was a blessing to have her speak in the language she enjoyed. Mom enjoyed beading and supporting her family in their activities. One year when her grandchildren, Nicole and Justin, were home schooled, Grandma Alfretta was one of their teachers. Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed attending Mike's basketball games. Alfretta brought up her children attending the Mennonite Church in Lame Deer. She also attended the Busby Mennonite Church in recent years. While in St. Vincent's Hospital and visiting with Rhea Goes Ahead, she and our father accepted Jesus Christ in their heart. Mom taught her family many lessons of love, perseverance, helping each other and having faith in challenging times; always having a sense of humor, a gentle smile and treating others with kindness. Mom had a beautiful smile and personality. She was the most beautiful person we knew. In the past couple of years, Mom made sure her husband, Raymond, son, Dale, daughter, Sheryl, and grandchildren Nicole and Justin knew they were loved, especially in caring for her during her illness. We were dedicated to taking care of her. In thinking of her husband, Raymond Sr., she would say in missing him "He's in Heaven and we will see him again". Every day Dale, Sheryl, Nicole and Justin would care for Mom and she would say frequently, "Justin I Love you, Nicole I Love You, Sherry I love you, Dale I love you", she would blow kisses to each in saying this. We would say we love you too grandma, we love you mom, and she would smile and say "I know". Mom frequently asked Nicole "What grade are you in?" Nicole would say she was going to graduate and mom would say she was happy for her. She would say to Justin "What grade are you in?" Justin would say "10th grade" and she would say "you are tall!" Also, Mom enjoyed visiting with her son Ray Jr. and looked forward to seeing him when he traveled from S. Dakota. Mom enjoyed having all of her children and grandchildren around her. Mom will be dearly missed but we know we will see her again and it will be a great family reunion in heaven. Mom was related to the Hart Families, Walks Along families, Whitewolf families, and she was close to her community, co-workers and friends. The family would like to thank everyone who was there for mom and the family through our challenges, including Pastor Willis Busenitz, Dr. McPhearson, Dr. Malody, Dr. Duranbach, RN Aaron, St. Vincents and Deacones Hospitals, all the American Medical Response drivers, Interim Home Health, Consumer Direct, Nightingale Home Health and Compasses. Also, thank you to Pastor Rhea Goes Ahead, the Chaplin from Compasses and Martina Many Guns. Thank you to everyone along the way who cared for and visited mom. Bless you all and we love you as our Mom did. Mom we will remember you always, you are in our hearts and we love you forever. We thank you for the gift of letting us care for you. We will see you in Heaven and we will never part. A wake service will be held at 7 pm on Thursday, May 31, 2018 with funeral service at 11 am on Friday, June 1, 2018 both at the Lame Deer Mennonite Church, Lame Deer, Montana. Interment will be in the Lame Deer Cemetery.
