My name is Ed Holt I took care of Chuck at his house.I found Chuck to be very up lifting and very humorous. He didn't have a mean bone in his body he smiled when I came on my shift. He always ask me what I was up to and I knew his interest was real.We talked about golf, car engines, the great outdoors. He always had great story's to tell so I would stop and just listen I liked every thing he said.I was hell bent on making him as comfortable as I could and taking care of his need's.I treated chuck as if he was my Grand dad he was a man to be respected and truly someone to never forget.I will miss him and I will never forget the time we had together I just wish it would have been under better circumstances.Rest in Peace and may God take you in his loving arms.Oh P.S heaven called your in a foursome You, Arnold Palmer,Bobby Jones and Lord Byron Nelson so Tee it up high and let it fly.REST IN PEACE.

What a wonderful man. Tom would come to the shop with Chris in tow, who was just a little boy. They loved talking to Chuck and eating lunch from the meat store.

I remember Chuck quite well. He came into City Auto Supply where I worked in the 1970's quite often buying Automotive related parts. Always Polite and Courteous to me and other employees. I must have driven past his shop on 8th street west a Million times. I was always fascinated with Machine Shop Work and got into it myself in the late 70's working one time at Valley Motors and Automotive Performance Center. Some parts in Automotive Engines require extreme accuracy like Crankshaft Main and Rod Journals and Con Rod Bearing diameters where you want to be within 1/10 Thousandth accuracy, Chuck being able to do this with just one eye was quite remarkable. I hope he running his own Machine Shop in Heaven; GOD Speed Chuck R.I.P. Steve Matz

Shelley, My condolences on the loss of your Dad. I did not know until now that your Mom had also passed so please accept my condolences on her loss as well. They were both very special people and when I look back on my clients, I always feel what a privilege it was to serve them. They were warm, friendly, honest and a joy to work with. I also had the pleasure of knowing your Dad through the car community. He rebuilt a 302 for me. He was highly respected throughout the car community. Both your parents will certainly be missed.
