Obituary
William “Purple” Hayes, 59 of Billings passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving daughters on April 14, 2013 at his home. He was born on July 28, 1953 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Robert and Rojean (Green) Hayes. Bill graduated from West High in 1971. Right out of high school Bill joined up with the Boilermakers Local 11. His work with the Boilermakers allowed him to travel the states and do work that he loved. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. Bill will be missed by his mother Rojean Thompson of Wheatland, WY, his three daughters Dawn (Joe) of Yellowtail, Kelly (Will) of Billings, Krissy (Kenny) also of Billings; five granddaughters; his siblings Donna Mae (CO), Penny (WA), Kenny (FL), Connie (MT), Andy (FL), Randey (GA), Susie (AK), Tracy (SD) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers, and one infant sister. Bill's kind heart and thoughtfulness will be greatly missed by all. May you always travel with the wind as you always have Dad. We love you and you will be forever in our hearts. Service: A memorial will be held at the Powder Horn Lounge, 4912 Laurel Road at 2:00 pm Sunday April 21st.

I would like to offer my sympathy for such a great loss. I have known your father for several years and in those years he had shown to be a very kind hearted friend that was there with me through some of the hardest times with my son having cancer and he always made alot of people laugh. It was an honor to be a friend of your dads.And he never hesitated to mention how much he loved his children as well as his granddaughters. once again you have my condolences and if you need anything dont hesitate to ask. He will be greatly missed
