Opal Clarice Heiser, 73, passed away January 5, 2013 at her home in Billings, Montana. She was born September 21, 1939 in Glasgow, Montana, the daughter of Magne and Hilda (Mork) Kallestad. She grew up in Great Falls, Montana, graduating from Great Falls High School in 1957. Opal lived in many places throughout her life, including Texas, California, North Carolina, the Philippines, Arizona, Montana, Utah, before moving back to Montana, residing in Billings. On December 15, 1962 she was united in marriage to Nevin Dean Heiser. They loved traveling. Opal was an avid reader and bridge player. Opal is survived by her daughter, Janice (Craig) Marshall, grandchildren Kristin and Dillon of Billings; brother Harris (Jan) Kallestad of Great Falls; cousin Herbert (Sharon) Bendixson. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Arlene Gullings and husband Nevin. Opal's ashes will be buried with her husband in Yellowstone County Veteran's Cemetery at a later date. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I met Opal & Nevin when I played cribbage with Nevin at the Vet's home in Ogden. I enjoyed visiting with both of them especially when we realized we had the Montana connection. I was happy to know that Opal was with you in Montana when her time to go came. My prayers are with your family.

Janice and family, I wanted to tell you how much I cared for and respected your Mother. I am Rosella Ogg, Marilyn Hanna's sister and was able to spend time with Opal and Nev when they came to the Hanna Farm in Kansas or to Del Rio, TX after Christmas.
