Nelda Hernandez

Nelda Sue Hernandez, 67, of Billings, passed away March 22, 2014. She was born July 30, 1946 in Thermopolis, WY, to Dwayne and Gladys McKenner. Nelda grew up in the Hamilton Dome oil fields, and eventually became a permanent resident of Carbon County, MT. Nelda was adventurous owning a bar in Craig, CO and also managing several restaurants. She enjoyed jewelry making, flower gardening and crafting. Nelda was able to see the best in people with the positive humor and wisdom she would bring. She enjoyed being the life of the party. Nelda has joined her sons, Jeff and Kiko. She is survived by her children Chandra Owen and Scott Blanton; grandchildren Amber, Chuck, Jayme, Tony & Annie Hernandez, Adam Owen; great-grandchildren Karma, TJ, Brian, Carlos, Gavin, Bella, Cruz & Tennasyn. Gram, your legacy continues through your family. We will always love and miss you. A celebration of Nelda's life will be held at a later date.
