Dorothy Hill

Dorothy was born August 26, 1921 in Livingston, MT and raised on the family ranch, where she preferred being outside, working with her dad tending the livestock, especially the horses which she loved. At age 13 Dorothy moved to Oregon with her mom, dad and brothers, Russell and Burton. At age 16 Dorothy returned to Livingston where she graduated from high school and went to work on a dude ranch. She loved the out-of-doors and riding and training horses. In January of 1949 Dorothy married Eugene Hill, the love of her life. Eugene passed away in 1993 after a long bout with cancer. Dorothy enjoyed gardening and would can vegetables every year. She was known for her beautiful roses and colorful flowers. Dorothy is survived by a sister-in-law, Katy Jensen of Oregon and three step-children, Sandra Botsch of Colorado, Gene Hill of Texas and Barbara Dorn of Montana; ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Dorothy passed away February 24, 2019 at the age of 97. A Graveside Service will be 11 am Wednesday, May 29 at Mountview Cemetery.
