Anne Horton

Anne Marie Horton, 86, died peacefully Saturday, July 10, at Billings Clinic. Born August 3, 1923 in Spring Valley, IL, she was the daughter of Joseph and Louise Lukosus. Anne received her education in Spring Valley, Chicago and Madison, WI. From July, 1944 to September, 1945, Ann served as a Navy Wave in the US Naval Reserve as an air traffic controller. She later ventured to Montana to teach at Huntley Project High School where she met Charles Horton. In 1949 they were united in marriage and spent the next 41 years together until his death in 1990.For a short time, she taught at Billings Central Catholic High School and worked as an advisor on the St. Vincent DePaul Charity. Anne was a devout Roman Catholic and faithfully attended Mass from the time she was a young child until very recently.Anne leaves behind her two sons: Stephen; Paul (Diane) and their five children: Christopher, Kalan, Heather, Brittany and Angel.Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Anne will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Dahl Funeral Chapel. A private family interment of ashes will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.
