Juanita Houghton

Juanita was born August 23, 1923 in Red Lodge, MT, the daughter of Catherine Ann and Rudolph Brozovich. She attended school in Red Lodge and later married James “Jimmy” Gerondale. They had two sons, Ron (Carolyn) Gerondale and Tom Gerondale. Jimmy died tragically in an automobile accident. Mom remained in the Red Lodge area and in 1949 married Robert Dean Houghton. They were blessed with two more sons, Bob (Kathy) Houghton and Bill Houghton. In 1955 the family moved to Billings where Dad worked for Pierce Packing. Family was very important to mom and she was the glue that bonded us all together. Mom was so proud of all her sons and many grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren. Ruth, you were a special friend to mom, you meant so much to her. Losing her husband of 54 years and third oldest son Bob, was so very hard on her; life never seemed the same afterwards. Mom passed away at her home December 28, 2014; we are all so happy to have spent this last Christmas with her. Mom, we will miss you dearly but at last all the pain is gone and you are again united with so many loved ones.
