Obituary
On January 13,2011, James “Jim” Michael Hudak, 56, passed into Gods ever-loving presence due to complications from pneumonia. Jim was born November 3, 1954 in Red Lodge, Montana to Michael and Helen Hudak. His formative years were spent in Red Lodge. As a young man Jim was diagnosed with schizophrenia and his journey through this life became a challenging one, but this journey brought him in contact with amazing people that loved and cared for him. He will be greatly missed here by his extended family and friends. Jims laugh always warmed a room. Jim had always loved cars and he had an amazing ability to know the specific year and model of any “good old American” car. He never tired of watching racing and looking at Hot Rod magazines. Jims pride and joy was his 73 Torino which he swapped out the 351 Cleveland with a 429 engine and terrorized the neighborhood with open headers and no exhaust. He was very mechanical at an early age and loved to rebuild bicycles. Jim modified the sprockets on a bicycle so he could climb hills like crazy. Jim was preceded in his arrival to heaven by his parents Mike and Helen Hudak. Surviving Jim are his brothers Joseph (Ginger), Vincent (Lisa), Kevin (Colleen) and Kerry (Joyce) Hudak, his sister Rosemarie (Eric) Enger and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jimmys heart constantly yearned to go back home to Red Lodge as that was where his fondest memories were. He is finally going home. Memorials: Memorials may be made to: NAMI National Alliance of Mental Illness, Montana, 616 Helena Avenue, Suite 218, Helena, MT. 59601, (406)443-7871 or Namimt.org. Service: Cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of Jims life later in the spring at Dahl Funeral Chapel in Red Lodge with interment of ashes at Red Lodge Cemetery.
