Lydia Hutchison

Virginia L. (Kahler) Hutchison passed away April 26, 2012 at Billings Health and Rehabilitation Community. She was born March 16, 1929 to Fred and Louise (Heimbuck) Kahler on a farm near Sykeston, North Dakota. In 1943 Virginia moved to Billings and in 1949 she married Arthur E. Hutchison. They later divorced and in 1970 were re-united in marriage and together operated a dairy farm near Richfield, Idaho. He was the love of her life. Upon taking a much needed vacation to Alaska they fell in love with the country and decided to sell the farm and move to Soldotna, Alaska. They remained there until Arthur's death November 25, 2002. Due to poor health, Virginia returned to Billings in 2005 and resided with her sister Esther Kreiter. She later moved into the Billings Health and Rehabilitation Community where she resided until her death. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Harold and Jimmy Kahler, two sisters Lucille Childs and Delores Massick. She is survived by her sister Esther Kreiter of Billings, brother Harry Kahler of Mesa, Arizona, four step-children and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Virginia will be cremated and her ashes will be interred next to her husband, Arthur, in Salmon, Idaho. Service: A vigil service will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Dahl Funeral Chapel.
