I had the privilege of working with Merlyn from the time I arrived in Billings to serve as the Area Pharmacy Officer in 1975 till he retired from the US Public Health Service. We had our almost daily chats about many subjects. He made our jobs more pleasant with his humor and his positive outlook on life. He loved his family dearly. He was so proud of his children! I always listened to his advice and appreciated him for his friendship. He is still an important part of my memories of serving in the Public Health Service. I think he had that impact on everyone who became his friend.

They have both passed on and are probably now conjuring up a good story for a higher audience, We hope that time will heal the entire family.
