Maria Jones

Maria Ascencion Jones Leal, 75, passed away during the early morning hours on February 27, 2014, with her family by her side. She was born to the late Miguel and Maria Leal on May 26, 1938 in Tizapan El Alto, Jalisco, Mexico. She grew up on a little farm in Mexico surrounded by her 10 siblings. As a young woman she met Walter D. Jones and wed him in July of 1970. After marriage they moved to California with her 2 children, Margarita and George Leal. She then had two more children, Darlena Jones (Brown) and Justin Jones. In 1979, they decided to move to Billings, MT where they lived the rest of their lives. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, shopping and above all loving all her grandchildren. Family had always been her number one priority. She was a compassionate, fun-loving and positive woman who enjoyed life to its fullest. She will be dearly missed by everyone that knew her. Te vamos a extrañar mucho Guera. Maria is survived by her children: Darlena Jones (Brown), Justin Jones, George Leal and Margarita Cardenas Leal; grandchildren: Amorasia, Isiah, Victoria, Jimi II and Demetrius Brown, Lukas and Giana Jones, Crystal (Jorge) Marin, George Jr. and Justin Jr. Leal, Juan and Maria Guerra; siblings: Miguel, Jesus (Chuey), Luis, Manuel and Jose Leal, Elvira Elizondo, Theresa (Federico) Haro Leal, Luz Leal, Rosa (Rueben) Ortiz and Helena Leal; numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
