Obituary

The Ruler of Life has added another singer to His host of angelic choir in heaven. Our dear Roger Hugh Kane of Billings, Montana (formerly of Spokane, Washington), a loving husband, father, grandfather brother, uncle and friend was peacefully called home eternal. Roger died peacefully with his family by his side at his residence on Thursday, July 16, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh Kane and Ada Henrietta (Kane) Graca, step-dad Alipio M. Graca, brothers-in-law John Aloysius Quinn and Gary Johnson. Roger was born October 26,1927 in Queens, New York. He is survived by his loving wife 'Alisi Tatafu Kane and son Sione Takivaha- John Kane of Billings; daughter Diane (Jay) Dennis of Sagel, Idaho; grandchildren Jenny, Casey and Chelsea (Christian) Schwab; great grandchildren, Daniel (Heidi) and Nikkia; great great granddaughter, Melina; sisters Helen Quinn of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Alice (Richard) Rust of Greensburg, Indiana, Ruth Johnson of Norfolk, Virginia; brother George Graca of Luray, Virginia; sister-in-law Lily Tatafu (Jacque) Moore of Billings; brothers in-law 'Aminiasi-Tim Tatafu of Malta, Montana, Tanakitau (Vika) Tatafu and Timote (Langatotoa) Tatafu II of Auckland New Zealand, and numerous nieces and nephews. We will fondly remember Roger for his humility, loyalty, honesty, neatness and his organized lifestyle. He had an eye for quality and beauty. We will forever miss his witty and analytical sense of humor. Roger did his best and left the rest to God's grace. He believed in a loving and forgiving God. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Roger's life and a witness to God's promise of resurrection will be at Billings First United Methodist Church at 2 pm on Friday, August 7, 2015. Many thanks and gratitude to the staff of Billings Clinic, Rocky Mountain Hospice and Aspen Meadows Rehabilitation for the care and services during Roger's 4 years of living in Billings. In lieu of flowers, any memorial gifts may be directed to First United Methodist Church at 2800 4th Avenue North, Billings, MT 59101; Shalom Ministries at 518 West Third Ave., Spokane, WA 99201 or charity of your choice. Arrangements are in the care of the staff at Dahl Funeral Chapel.
