Eugene Kautz

Eugene “Geno” Henry Kautz, age 79, currently of Billings, MT died on July 27, 2019. Geno was born on May 23, 1940 in Ballantine, MT. He was baptized at Worden German Congregational Church as an infant or toddler. He was also confirmed there as a teenager. Geno attended school at Huntly Project where he graduated in 1958. He briefly attended Seattle University where he discovered he was dyslexic. The dyslexia didn't keep him from pursuing opportunities. Geno was the owner of a Greek restaurant in Phoenix, AZ, owned a trucking company, a construction company, and worked for a motion picture company in Hollywood where he was a chauffeur and a truck driver. Geno enjoyed the pressure, but has said, “The Lord has given me the peace of not having to worry about that anymore.” Geno marred Karen Krumm in 1964 but was divorced eight years later. Geno was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ron, who died at age 59.
