Obituary
Dona was born in Richey, MT on May 24, 1931. She passed away surrounded by her loving family on August 26, 2016. Dona was eighty-five years old. She moved to Glendive, MT and married Robert Kilseimer on November 6, 1949. They have two children: Ardyce Swain (Dave Swain) of Billings, and Ron Kilseimer of Roberts, MT. Dona has two grandchildren: Aaron Swain (Jessi Swain) of Billings, MT and Teal Swain of Los Angeles, CA. She loved spending time with her two great grandchildren Wyatt and Weston Swain and will miss them dearly. Dona was a Registered Nurse for approximately thirty years and worked at Holy Rosary Hospital, the Garberson Clinic and the Veterans Administration Hospital in Miles City, MT. She transferred to the Veterans Administration Outreach Center in Billings, MT where she retired at age 57. If you didn't see Dona shopping, getting her nails and hair done, or working out she was traveling with her beloved family. She loved to visit Las Vegas, and enjoyed the entertainment Vegas had to offer. Her other favorite travel destination was Hawaii, where she would lay out on the beach and sip on her RumChata. She is survived by her husband Robert Kilseimer who still resides at their family home. She is preceded in death by her mother, Alice Chelgren and her sister, Edith Chelgren. She is survived by her sisters Katherine (Dick) Trask of Lewistown, MT and Geraldine (Roger) Warner of Glendive, MT. Her surviving brothers are Walter Chelgren of Laurel, MT, Bobby Chelgren of Glendive, MT, and Jerry (Sue) Chelgren. A private family ceremony will take place.

Gerald R. (Jerry) Chelgren and my wife Sue - Derby, KS To: Bob, Ardyce and Ronnie, and family. It is with sadness I learn of the home going of my oldest sister Dona. I can say without reservation that I am and was proud of Dona's life accomplishments. A tough act to follow, especially considering the very humble beginnings we shared as brothers and sisters. Further, a living example of setting her very own goals, desires and dreams and then living out each in her own special way and, usually to an outward strong influence on her immediate family and circle of friends. We, the family of Jerry and Sue Chelgren celebrated a special time of memory of my departed sister, at our residence in Derby, KS on Monday, September 6th. at 6pm. In attendance were Brad and Tammie (Chelgren) Painter of Lincoln, NE. their son Mike Painter of Omaha, NE, Todd and Toni (Chelgren) Haight, of Wichita, KS, and their family Bryce Haight and wife Jesi, of Mulvane, KS, Brenden Haight and Brittanie Haight of Wichita, KS . Not in attendance were Tim and Tina Chelgren and family, Grand Children Cassie Chelgren and fiancée Adason Jones, and Great Grandson Cooper, Justin and Sophie (Chelgren) Vonk, and Garrett Chelgren all of Sioux Falls, SD. Also not in attendance were Grand Children Cody and Amanda (Painter) Sluka and Austin Painter of Lincoln, NE.
