I have fond memories of John from his high school years. John would take his chess set on wrestling trips and would play chess in the gym before wrestling meets. He would sometimes wear one high sock and one low sock to complete his wrestling uniform. He always worked hard and he always had a smile on his face.

My memories and introduction to John were through the the Healthy by Design Gardner's Market and the Saturday Farmer's Market. several years ago. I headed first to the King Family Farms booth before visiting others. John was low-key and so kind to me. The markets certainly won't be the same without him. May he rest in peace!
