Deborah Kohler

Deborah Kohler did not like special attention and did not want a “flowery” notice in the paper. We couldn't afford a front page headline, and the world has enough bad news. The good news is that Jesus Christ promised we will see her again (John 5:28-29)! Our favorite sister was born May 8, 1954, in Polson and fell asleep in death November 7, 2018, in Billings. Deborah was known for many qualities—humility, loyalty, forgiveness, joy and generosity. She was also known for her expert and artful skill in quilting. She NEVER complained about anything in her life—even when she had reason to. But her legacy will be her faith. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, she looked forward to the promise she shared with others of the time when death will be no more (Rev. 21:3, 4). She is survived by her daughter, Heather (John) McGee, son Grant (Shari) Kohler and “daughter-of-the-heart” Tammy (Eddie) Hernandez; six grandchildren, DJ, Monique, Leah, Ethan, Cadence and “granddaughter-of-the-heart” Ava; parents, Andrew and Rose O'Bleness; brothers, Andy (Karen), Philip (Denise), Paul (Debra), and Matthew (Laura); and sister Sarah (Chris) Cobetto. She is also survived by her “other sister”, Lorii (Ken) Adsitt of Pinehurst, Idaho, as well as a large extended family. She was preceded in death by a husband, Chuck Kohler III, son, Chuck Kohler IV and son, Stewart Kohler. The family gives special thanks to Robin and Courtney Miller for their unwavering and kind personal care given to Deborah throughout her sickness—they proved to be “a brother who is born for times of distress”. (Prov. 17:17). A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 201 Wicks Lane, Billings, Montana.
