Pamela Kraft

Pamela Joyce Kraft née Kallen “Pam” passed away on March 6, 2015, in Billings, Montana at the age of 58.She was a warm and thoughtful individual with a big heart and a beautiful spirit. She is survived by her husband, Les Kraft; her sister, Theresa Daem née Kallen of Corona Del Mar, California; her mother, Jerry Wetsch of Hardin, Montana; and her half-sister, Monti J. Wetsch of Billings. She was preceded in death by her sister, Toni Lawhon née Kallen; her brother, Andrew Kallen; and her father, Ted Kallen. Pam was born on March 8, 1956, in Billings to Ted Kallen and Jerry Wetsch. She grew up in Hysham, Montana, and graduated from Hysham High School. Pam married Les in 1989 and they shared their lives for twenty-six years. When Les and some partners developed and operated the Billings Motorsports Park in the early 2000's, Pam was not only supportive and involved, she was there many nights helping in any way possible. After working for the Montana Department of Transportation for twenty-eight years, she retired in March, 2013, and began a new career as a massage therapist. Pam was an accomplished saxophonist as well as a talented artist, and an ardent animal lover who volunteered at the Billings Animal Shelter for many years. She was also an active and dedicated member of the Victorious Word Church in Billings. Pam loved the winter and enjoyed cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing during this season. In the summer she would go racing with Les and their friends and never turned down a chance to go fly fishing. Following a diagnosis of brain cancer in July of 2014, she launched an unbelievable fight, winning friends and admirers from Billings to Salt Lake City, Utah. It was God who determined the final notes she would play in her life, and she accepted the decision with the same commitment and devotion she had shown Him throughout her life. God bless you P.J.
