Elaine Kupper

Elaine Chambers Kupper, 88, died on May 29, 2010 at Highgate Senior Living in Bozeman. Born on January 12, 1922 in Neche, ND Elaine is the daughter of Leslie Amos Chambers and Rachel Little John. After attending grade school in Neche, she moved to Grand Forks, ND for 5 years and then to Bismarck, ND for 7 years. She married Joseph Kupper on November 7, 1949 in Bismarck. Elaine moved to Billings, MT in the early 50s where she continued to live out her life. In Billings she worked as a printer at Willis Office Supply for 35 years. Elaine was a member of Saint Pius X Catholic Church and had been a member of the Altar Society for over 30 years.Elaine was preceded in death by her husband Joseph. Survivors include her sister Fern (Louis) Carlson of Camas, WA; her nieces and nephews: Janice Holkup of Seattle, Pattie Holkup of Missoula, Paul Holkup of Buffalo, WY, Gary Holkup of Bozeman, Jim Carlson of Seattle, Wayne Chambers of Denver, Duane Carlson of Portland, and Linda Knapp of Denver.A vigil will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Dahl Funeral Chapel and the Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday at Saint Pius X Catholic Church, followed by interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be sent to Montana Rescue Mission, 21 S. 29th St., Billings, MT 59101. Arrangements are in the care of Dahl Funeral Chapel.
