Marion Larsen

Marion Larsen of Harlowton, Montana, was reunited in death with her husband, Richard Larsen, on January 6, 2013. She was born in Park Rapids, MN on December 2, 1934, where she grew up on their family farm until marrying Richard on June 9, 1953. They lived in Park Rapids, MN for 7 years before moving to Montana. Once in Montana they lived in Choteau, Martinsdale, Lennep, Neihart, and Two Dot where she was a homemaker and waitress. In 1978 they built a home in Harlowton where she lived until her death. Marion worked as a cashier, social worker and CNA for many years in Harlowton. Marion's greatest joys were her children and grandchildren and being able to share special moments with each of them. She was a generous and caring person, who never missed sending a card for your birthday or anniversary and was a friend to all. She enjoyed baking and cooking, embroidery, knitting and gardening and later in life sitting with her cat “Baby”. Marion was an active member of the ALCW and American Lutheran Church. Marion is preceded in death by her husband, Richard (Dick) Larsen, brothers John, Hap and Chuck Knobloch, and her parents Herman and Hattie Knobloch. She is survived by her sister Nell (Dick) Stammer of Sioux Falls, SD; her children Terrie (Richard) Weil of Sand Coulee, MT; Roger (Tana) Larsen of Gillette, WY; Kaylene (Carl) Patten of Lewistown, MT; her five grandchildren Ryan (Amber) Larsen, Cameron Larsen, Amanda (Ronnie) Ferderer, Kyle Patten, Carson Patten and great-grandchildren Riley and Harper Larsen. Donations in memory of Marion Larsen can be sent to the Paralyzed Veterans of America or a memorial of your choice in Marion's name. Service: Memorial Services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the American Lutheran Church in Harlowton, Montana. Interment will be in Harlowton Cemetery.
