Carol Larson

Carol E. Larson, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, went home to be with the Lord on January 18, 2014. She was born October 3, 1926 in Portal, ND and lived most of her young years in Lignite, ND. Her parents were Jacob and May (Hinn) Sayler. She attended Northwest Bible College, Minot, ND and married Carl L. Larson on Nov. 23, 1947. They made their home in Ray, ND and moved to Billings with their young family in 1956. She worked as a nurse's aide for St. Vincent's Hospital, and St. John's Lutheran Nursing Home during the winter months while her children where in school and in later years was a very dedicated homemaker. She was always involved in her church. She led music, taught Sunday School, and sang in a trio. Carol is survived by her daughter, Carletta Larson Neubauer (Loren); her son, Carl Larson (Janet); her grandchildren, Kerri Kennedy (Jeff), Kevin Neubauer (Cheryl), Jenny Larson, Nikki Larson, and Jerry, Jason, and Jennifer Strobel; 6 great-grandchildren, Jesann and Triston Neubauer and Tyler, Hayden, Logan & Karlee Kennedy. She is survived by 2 sisters, Phyllis Blom and Donna Love, and several nieces, nephews and stepfather, Roy Blom. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, in 2009, whom she missed very much, her mother, May Blom, her sisters, Dolly Cathcart and Carmen Uecker, and brother, Sonny Blom. Carol loved to spend time with her family, gospel music, camping, gardening and working with her flowers, and loved her weekly lunches with her sisters. She will be missed by all of us! Service: Memorial Services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 24 at the Dahl Funeral Chapel with a luncheon to follow.
