Ray Donald Lewis The greatest gift we ever had came from God, we call him Dad. Ray D. Lewis died April 11, 2013 at St. Vincent Healthcare. He was born July 6, 1939, the son of Rose Rang and Ray Lewis. He graduated from Fairview High School in 1957, Northern Montana College in 1961 and earned his Master's Degree in Counseling from Eastern Montana College. Ray married Charlotte Eder in 1960 and had two sons Jeff and Gregg. Ray taught and coached for 26 years with stops in Lodge Grass, White Sulphur Springs, Absarokee, Billings Central, Huntley Project and Broadview/Lavina. He owned and operated Mudjacking Construction for 41 years doing jobs across Montana and Wyoming. He worked hard and played hard and was loved by many. He always loved a challenge, whether it was work, sports, card games or just plain arguing. Ray was a hunter, fisherman, golfer and prankster. He had a rough surface but was sensitive, generous and was always ready to lend a hand. He could solve any problem. He was especially proud of his boys and their families. Ray is survived by his wife of 53 years, Charlotte; two sons Jeff (Theresa), Gregg (Mary); 5 grandchildren, Tara Murphy, Coby (Abby), Carly Rae, Robert, Sara and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law Mary Rockwwell. A Memorial Service for Ray will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 16 at Dahl Funeral Chapel.
