Zachary Lindsey

Zachary Lee Lindsey, 20, (also known as Zee Zee, Z-Man, Z-Daddy) was born to the proud parents of Tobin and Pamela Lindsey on April 29, 1993 in Billings, Montana. On Saturday, August 17, 2013 he was taken too soon from us in a tragic accident. At an early age Zach had displayed his God given athletic talent, playing football, basketball, and his most beloved sport, baseball. Zach had a state championship in 2003 when he was 10. In 2004 he played with Wendys of Montana , won state and went to Regionals in Kelso, WA. In 2005 he had the honor of going to Northwest Regionals in San Bernardino, CA. In 2007 the Junior Little League team won state and went to Regionals in Beaverton, OR where he hit his first homerun. In 2006 he played for Billings Bluejays Legion Baseball team and won Districts, then went to State in Canada. In 2011 he played for the Billings Royals and got to play in the Northwest Regionals at Dehler Park. One of his best highlights of his baseball career was the homerun he hit that helped to beat the Scarlets on Senior night. Zach graduated from Skyview High School in 2011. For the past five months Zach has been at work learning the remodeling business as well as enjoying his love of the outdoors in the landscaping business. Zach's recent passion was writing songs with a group of friends that have a band. They just completed the soon to be released CD featuring Zach on the mic. Zach was preparing to go to Southwestern College in Oregon in September where he was going to study the history of music and get back on the baseball field to play with the Southwestern Lakers. Zach and his family had the opportunity to go to Southwestern Campus two weeks ago and spend eight days, 24 hours a day, together. When do you get to do that with a 20 year old? It was a trip of a lifetime! Zach lived each day to the fullest, from swimming in the Yellowstone River, hiking every weekend, camping, and enjoying all outdoor sports. Zach loved his family so much, from his Grandma (Gma-his best friend) on down to his little sister, and never went a day without saying “I love you”. He had the most wonderful heart and soul. He had a special way of talking to his sister, whether she just needed a friend or some brotherly tough love. Zach is survived by his parents Pamela and Tobin; sister Alivia; grandparents Mayferd Allen (Art), Betty Rae Lindsey; aunts Candice (Levi) Gable and their family Tina and Shannon; Paula Allen, Susan (Gary) Carlson and their family Gary, Emily (Corey) uncles Jay Allen, Casey Lindsey; great-aunt Colleen Smart of Lakewood, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is welcomed in Heaven by Grandpa Johnny Allen and Dorthea “Mamo”. Visitation: A gathering of family and friends will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Dahl Chapel. Service: A Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 22 at Faith Chapel.
