James Lionshows

James Junior Lionshows, Maʹemenȯtse “Buffalo Berries”, also known as Jr, was born August 7, 1944 to Sherman and Elsie Lionshows. He was the grandson of David Deafy and Anna (Horseroads) Deafy. God saw his body was tired so He took him home on March 3, 2017 where there was peace. Jr. grew up, lived and worked in Billings, MT. Later in life he moved to the Heritage Living Center in Ashland, MT then to Forsyth, MT. He enjoyed watching rodeos, especially the bull riding. Jr. was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Vera Lionshows. Jr. leaves behind his brother, Isaac Lionshows; sons, Vosco, Randy and Derek; grandchildren, Jamison, Nation, Courage and James Jr. Seymour, Malaki Horseroads, Keira and Nicholas Smith; other relatives, Edna Deafy, Lupe Killsontop, Diana (Jeff) Baysinger, James (Tammi) Seymour, Nila Smith, Cathy (Vince) Flores, Alice (Grady) and Joann; many other family and friends. If we have left anyone out we apologize and please forgive us in our time of grief. Vigil will be Tuesday, March 7 at 2:00 pm with Funeral service on Wednesday, March 8 at 11:00 am, both at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
