Jill Ludington

Jill K. Ludington, 84, passed away June 9, 2018 in Billings, MT. She was born May 9, 1934 in Fairbanks, AK to Stanley K. and Dorothy V. Jorgensen. Her mother later divorced Stanley and moved to Montana. She then married Donald Hageman and Jill was adopted by him. Jill attended grade school at McKinley, middle school at Lincoln and graduated from Billings Senior High in 1952. She then attended the University of Montana in Missoula, graduating in 1956. Jill met the love of her life, Edwin Ludington, in 1955 and they were married July 23, 1956. Soon three children joined the family, a daughter and two sons. After a time the family moved to a rural acreage west of Billings. Jill was always fond of animals, especially horses. She purchased AQHA horses and showed them in seven states, including national shows in Oklahoma and Texas and internationally in Canada. Jill loved to travel and made many trips all over the world with the Global Grannies, a local traveling group in Billings. Jill worked many years in the medical field as a secretary and transcriptionist to pay for her horse shows and trips. Jill was preceded in death by her father, step-father, mother and step-sister. She is survived by her husband and best friend, Edwin; daughter; sons, Paul and Alan; grandchildren, Sara, Rachel, Alex and Emma; great-grandsons, Aiden, Kaleb and Gavin; step-brothers, Roger and Don, Jr.; and cousins, Rick Farley and Margaret Caraway. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Dahl Funeral Chapel.
