Delores Luff

On Wednesday, July 9, 2014, Delores “Dee” Luff, 80, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side, after a short battle with cancer. She was born in 1933 in Billings on December 5 (the date she shared with her son-in-law). She was the daughter of Jacob and Katherine (Heimbichner) Eckhardt. She attended Billings schools and graduated from Senior High School. Dee worked for Big Sky Linen for almost 30 years, and was working there full time only a month before her death. She enjoyed bowling and poker machines but more importantly she liked spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dee was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ron Luff; son Danny Lee Martin; four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her daughter Bobbi (Acel) Barcus; son Chubby Martin; stepson Quentin Luff; grandchildren Danny (Solotair), Jimmy (Laura), Taylor Barcus, Zachary, Dusti, Sasha Martin; Colter, Jake, Maci, Allidah Luff; great-grandchildren Ashton, Eli, Kinsley, Zane, Desi; sisters Clara Hensley, Betty (John) Strecker, Mae (Richard) Sartorie, Irene Cook, Alice (Andy) Stene; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank George Kern for his love and support, and thanks to RiverStone Hospice for their exceptional care given to Mom. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Dee's life will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the VFW in the Heights.
