Obituary

Born June 29, 1935 Joyce M. Lynch, our mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend to many, passed away on December 11, 2014 after a short battle with a determined cancer. The words of her grandson, Kai, echo our family sentiments "She was a woman who lived life on her own terms, with a fiery, indomitable spirit. And that spirit will live on. Through her children and their children, she will be remembered and missed. Though memories may be bitter sweet, we can all find some measure of resolution in the peace she found at the end." We are eternally grateful in the knowing that Joyce left with the surety of knowing her new body will be dancing in Heaven and the work she left on earth is beautifully displayed on the tapestry of our lives; each thread interlaced with a dose of Joyce's fiery spirit, fearless approach and great capacity to love. Joyce is survived by her sister, Dorothy Johnson; brother, Floyd Johnson (Bernice); her sons, Mike and Danny (Debbie) Donlan; daughters, Brenda, Sheila, Veronica (Ed) and a gift named Lynda. Joyce also helped raise, and is mother/aunt to, Jason (Windy) Johnson. Joyce had many grandchildren and here's the short list: Shawn and Candace Haley, Zach, Jace and Kai Haynes, Shae and Jessi Donlan, Keaton Donlan, Tristin and Jasmine Johnson. Joyce also enjoyed a special time with her great grandchildren, Tyson, Keoni and Mia. Joyce was preceded in death by her mother, Florence Johnson, father, Jene Johnson, and her daughter Judy Lynn. A graveside burial will be held in Billings, MT at 1:00 pm on Saturday in Sunset Memorial Gardens and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Great Falls, MT where Joyce has many friends who will be able to celebrate her life. Arrangements are in the care of Dahl Funeral Chapel and memories may be shared with the family at www.dahlfuneralchapel.com

My sincere condolences for the loss of your dear mother, Joyce. May you find comfort in your loving memories, and in God's promise to soon "swallow up death forever...and wipe away the tears from all faces." (Isaiah 25;8) God also promises of a time soon when " no resident will say : I am sick." That is a wonderful time to look forward to!
