Obituary
Mabel G. Macer was born November 15, 1927 in Flatwillow, Montana, the daughter of Oscar H. and Mabel (Doman) Redd. She was the third of six children, Harry, William, Mabel G., Florence Helen (Doll), Rex and Mary Jo. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2018 in Billings, Montana. She was affectionately known as “Peb” to friends and family. Mabel attended the one room grade school at Flatwillow, graduated high school in Winnett, and attended college for two years. Mabel was an excellent cook. The family celebrated many get togethers with huge feasts all the time. Mabel was married to Russell Quigg (deceased), and is survived by two sons, Gary Lee Quigg and Rex Alan Quigg. She subsequently married Harold Learn (deceased), and is survived by daughters, Kelly Schneider and Carol McNeal (John). Mabel later married George Macer (deceased), and enjoyed a long loving companionship with Martin Matovich (deceased). Mabel also had very special friends that helped her, including Rick Altoff and Marcy, who she loved dearly. Mabel is survived by four children, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. Mabel loved to travel; some of the trips she enjoyed were to Mexico City with her sisters, and to Key West Florida to deep sea fish with her husband George. She also loved hunting and the outdoors. Mabel will be very missed by her children and grandchildren for all of her flavor filled teachings.

I will cherish all the times we got to cook, dancing, shopping and gardening. I love you Grandma and I am happy that you are in no more pain. Knowing one day I will see you again is amazing. Give everyone a hug for me. You have done a lot in your days here on earth and have made a lot of friends. We will all remember our time with you. I love you Grandma.

Family of Mabel, I remember many visits and eating out with Mabel and am sorry for the loss of your mother. Gary, special condolences to you, a long-time friend and know how much you loved your mother and sorry you were separated at this time. We also had this happen when Tom lost his mother. We remember Mabel fondly in the Shepherd Lions Club. She always had great ideas, and readily volunteered to help out with as many projects as possible. She was a dear lady, and will be missed. Blessings for the times we've had together.
