Obituary
Dee MacKnight, 73, of Billings, MT passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of January 16, 2017, with family by her side. Dee was born in Red Lodge, MT on August 31, 1943 to Lester and Mamie Phillips. Dee was a kid at heart, free spirited and had a passion for the outdoors. She loved her canine companions, enjoyed creating beauty with her hands, and fancied questing with her Society of Creative Anachronism. Dee was preceded in death by her parents, and survived by her step-father Ray; her children Wendelynn, Francis (Kathy), Laurie (Gerald), Kimberly, Rayann (Justin), Janet (John); 18 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings John (Patsy), Robert (Suzette); 2 nieces; 3 nephews; 3 great-nieces; and 6 great-nephews. Cremation has taken place; a private celebration of her life will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017.

I am truly sorry for the loss and pain that the MacKnight family is feeling because of losing Dee in death. Most of us have had to endure the sorrow of losing a loved one in death. What helped me the most was prayer and faith in God's promises like found here at 1 Corinthians 15: 26 and it tells us: "And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing." God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises, including the resurrection. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40, John 11:25) Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: "is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago." Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it."For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief.
