Obituary
Lucille Ann Schuetz Magers was born July 19, 1938 in Mercier, Kansas, the fourth child of Clarence C. and Helene Edna (Gold) Schuetz. On August 13, 1958 she married Fred Magers Jr., in Mercier. A dedicated mother to ten and grandmother of 16, family was most important. With an open heart all were welcomed into the family and home. Son Seans death in 1970 was always a heartache for Lucy. She earned her B.S. B.A. from Eastern Montana College in 1985. Lucy and Fred belonged to St. Pius X Catholic Church. She was an avid stamp collector, genealogist, and stargazer. Lucy died of complications of pancreatitis on March 14, 2011 in the presence of her beloved husband and many of her children. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Ivan and Jeannie, and son Sean. She is survived by husband, Fred; children Nina (Roberto), Angela (John), Nathan, Sabrina (Bill), Cynthia (Brian), Merlin (Michelle), Reuben (Katie), Lydia (Bill), and Jessica (Rich); siblings Agnes (Eddie), Carl (Nancy), Mary (Larry); 16 grandchildren; nieces, nephews; friends. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the 1st Lieutenant Paul G. Magers Endowment Fund at Billings Central Catholic High School. Service: Vigil service will begin Sunday, March 20, 2011 at 7 p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be Monday, March 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. Pius X, with burial and luncheon following.
