Knew John starting in 1945. We played on a local basketball team together in the winter of '48-'49'. John took the military route as a career, while I took the Airline Captain route for a career. Last saw John in 1997 at the BoBo day celebration in Columbus, where he won the car! Condolences to Virginia. Jim Huff

I met John about two years ago here at the VA. I want to thank him for his Service! He was a great story teller. I will miss seeing him around the VA and his smile. The best part was he told me stories of my grandfather's siblings who grew up in Columbus. They were all friends. He helped me connect to my grandfather in ways that he will never be forgotten! Thank you! You will be missed.
