Adam Marman

Adam John Marman was born in Miles City, MT on November 17, 1985 to Gary and Connie (Mischel) Marman and left us too soon on June 15, 2018. Adam was a true Montanan, but took 23 years and a lot of living to return to his roots in 2009. He attended St. Michael Catholic School in Prior Lake, MN K-8, and graduated from Prior Lake High School in 2004. He left for the US Marine Corps that summer. He had life changing experiences and made many close friends in his time with the corps. He was a member of 1st Reconnaissance Battalion 1st Marine Division and served 2 combat tours in Iraq. Adam survived an IED explosion in Rutbah, Iraq with the help of his teammate Jayson. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in February 2009. Adam came home to Montana after discharge. Adam loved the outdoors and enjoyed being in them in many different ways, especially on his motorcycle. He enjoyed tattoos, beer, bacon, hunting, kayaking, 4 wheeling, camping, and spending time with family and friends. In 2010 when Adam was living on the farm, a new love started when Rusty, a Red Heeler/Border Collie, came into the family. When Adam was at the folks' place they were always together; they were best buds. When Adam returned to MT he worked as a laborer for TKI CNC, Cayton Excavation and other companies. He also worked for Schlumberger Oilfield Services and MT Tank Works. Adam graduated with high honors from Montana State University Billings in 2014 with an Associates in Applied Science degree in Welding and Metal Fabrication Technology. At the time of his death, Adam was a welder with MT Ironworks. In his “free” time he did many artistic and functional welding jobs. Adam was a friend to pretty much everyone he met. If he was on your side, he stayed there. He was awesome at remembering people on their special days, and had a very giving spirit. His quirky smiles and goofy faces will be remembered by many. Adam is survived by his parents, Gary & Connie Marman of Billings, his sister Sarah (Mike) Friendshuh of Montgomery, MN, his grandmothers, Mary Ann Marman of Glendive, MT, Marie Sandberg of Beach, ND and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by an aunt, Nancy (Marman) Bollinger and his grandfathers, Ray Marman and Ray Mischel. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, June 21 at Dahl Funeral Chapel at 6:30 pm. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 22, 2018 at St. Pius X Church at 11:00 am, followed by a luncheon. Burial will take place at Yellowstone National Cemetery following the luncheon.
