Obituary
Veronica “Bunny” Susan Mavencamp, age 64, passed into the loving light of the Lord on April 27, 2019. Veronica was born in Miles City, Montana on December 19, 1954 to parents Jean Cramer Lange and Frank Lange. Veronica and her twin sister, Virginia came into the world together, the youngest two in a family of 13. They had a happy childhood growing up on the Rosebud Creek in Montana on the Lange family ranch. Veronica attended Rosebud High School and enjoyed being on the cheerleading team. She would fondly recall a time when the girls were traveling to a game and their car got stuck in the mud. The girls pushed the car out, slipped and their uniforms got covered in “Ingomar mud.” Veronica attended Eastern Montana College in Billings, where she earned a degree in education and spent a wonderful semester abroad in Italy. Veronica married Gary Mavencamp on December 29, 1977 in St Patrick's Co-Cathedral in Billings. They had four children, Amy, Terri, Sara and Joe, who were the pride and joy of her life. Veronica loved sports and was very involved in her children and grandchildren's academic and sport lives. Veronica fostered a strong love of learning and gaining knowledge through books in all of her children. Veronica will be remembered for her kind, gentle heart, impressive stubbornness, unbounded love for her family and connection to the natural world. Veronica leaves behind many family and friends who deeply cared for her and goes to join her parents, sisters, brother and friends who departed this earth before her. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 11 from 1-3pm at DanWalt Gardens at 720 Washington Street in Billings, Montana.

We are so saddened to hear of Veronica's passing. I loved visiting with her when our kids were attending Rimrock School. She was a very kind and considerate person and always willing to help in any way she could. Prayers for her kids. Stacey and Greg Reiter and family.

We are so sad about Veronica's death. Having known her since I was a kid, it's hard to believe she is no longer here. I had a great time with Bunny and Gina when visiting the ranch every summer, and they loved staying with us during the fair each year. We kept in contact over the years, and I know how much she loved her family, kids and grand kids. They were her pride and joy. She was such a hard worker and a sweet person.
