Albert McKittrick

Albert Raymond McKittrick, 89, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 in Billings, Montana. Albert (Mac) was the only son born to Raymond and Maple (Engle) McKittrick in Hardin, MT, on December 18, 1923. He attended Hardin Public Schools, and October 11, 1944 enlisted in the Army and served under Gen. MacArthur during WWII. He rode the flagship into Manila Harbor in the Philippines. Later he received the Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal and the Philippine Liberation Medal. Albert worked for Scott's Laundry in Laurel and ran an independent delivery service, Stran Steel Corp. as a red iron building foreman, Great Western Sugar Co. in Billings. In 1951, Albert married Martha Fox and had two children from this union. They later divorced and in 1979, he married Janice Haugen and had two children from this union. Albert is survived by his wife Janice, two sons Gordon (Toni) McKittrick of Laurel, Terrance McKittrick of Billings; daughters Jane McKittrick of Forest Lake, MN, Kim Renn'e McKittrick of Billings; sister June McFerrin of Great Falls, MT; stepson Ben Haugen; stepdaughter Tina (Dennis) Friedt; granddaughter Amy (Jeff) Schneider; grandsons Anthony McKittrick, Timothy McKittrick; step-grandson Marco Morris; step-granddaughter Andrea Haugen; great-grandson Cole Lethert, all of Billings, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Service: Services will be held 1:30 p.m. January 16, 2013 at Dahl Funeral Chapel Billings with inurnment following at Laurel Veteran's Cemetery Coumbarium.
